Understanding Your Bill
The City of Wilson Natural Gas System Rates are outlined in Schedule F of our tariff and are incorporated here by reference. Your total monthly bill is calculated using the following formula:
Total Bill = FC + (U x CR)
Where:
-
FC = Monthly Facilities Charge - A fixed charge that covers the cost of maintaining gas infrastructure and ensuring service is always available — regardless of usage.
-
U = Customer Monthly Usage (measured in CCF, or hundred cubic feet) - Calculated based on the amount of natural gas you actually use, measured in CCF (hundred cubic feet).
-
CR = Total Commodity Rate for the current billing period (per CCF) - The combined cost for each unit of gas used during the billing period, including supply and delivery.
Plus, any applicable state and local taxes, as well as regulatory fees if required by law.

Bills are due within 18 days from the billing date.
