Wilson Energy offers several options for natural gas service disconnection, depending on your specific needs. Please review the following information carefully.
Temporary or Seasonal Disconnection
Wilson Energy requires that customers NOT shut off the natural gas service at the gas meter themselves. To avoid being billed monthly facility fees, gas service must be officially turned off by Wilson Energy Customer Service.

When you’re ready to have your service restored, call Customer Service to schedule a reconnection appointment. A reconnection fee will apply.
Permanent Disconnection
If you wish to permanently disconnect natural gas service for any reason other than building demolition, please contact Wilson Energy at (252) 399-2432.
A minimum of two weeks' notice is requested for scheduling.
Building Demolition
Wilson Energy will disconnect and remove the gas meter and pressure regulator at no charge for building demolitions.
Inside City of Wilson Jurisdiction

A demolition permit is required. Apply online through the Application Portal.
Outside City of Wilson Jurisdiction
