Welcome to Waters of Wilson, the annual stormwater initiative dedicated to cleaning up litter in and around our precious waterways! We're thrilled to announce that this year marks our fourth annual event, and it's open to the public. Annual clean-ups occur in the Spring and Fall seasons. Registration will open in April 2026 for the spring clean-up event.

What is Waters of Wilson?
Waters of Wilson is a community-driven effort to protect and preserve our local water bodies by removing litter and debris. By coming together as volunteers, we can make a significant impact on the health and beauty of our environment and community.

We invite you to join us in this meaningful cause by registering as a volunteer today! There are 6 cleanup sites to choose from, including 1 site accessible by kayak only. Whether you prefer to be on land or out on the water, there's a cleanup opportunity that suits your interests and abilities.

The Waters of Wilson event is not only a fantastic opportunity for community involvement in preserving local waterways, but also a chance for creative expression through our logo art contest. Below are some prompts and ideas to inspire participants in creating a logo that embodies the essence of water activities and environmental stewardship.

Contest Guidelines
- Template: Click this link to download the template to create the logo!
- Eligibility: Open to all ages and skill levels. No use of AI.
- Medium: Digital or traditional artwork is acceptable. Submissions must be scanned or photographed for digital entry.
- Entry Form: Complete all required fields on the entry form before submitting your artwork.
- Size: Designs should fit within the template guidelines.
- File Limit Size: Submissions must not exceed 10 MB in size.
- Submission Window: Artwork can be submitted anytime between October 1st, 2025, and March 1st, 2026.
- Submission Deadline: All entries must be submitted by March 1st, 2026.
- Judging Criteria: Creativity, originality, adherence to theme, and visual impact.
We encourage participants to think outside the box and create a logo that not only represents the activities enjoyed in Wilson’s waterways but also the spirit of community and environmental care. Happy designing!
