Wilson's Commitment to Urban Forestry
For over four decades, the City of Wilson has been dedicated to preserving and enhancing its urban tree canopy. As a Tree City USA community since 1977, Wilson proudly meets the Arbor Day Foundation’s four core standards for urban forestry management. In 2026, Wilson was once again recognized as a Tree City USA, marking 44 years of commitment to tree planting, care, and education.
In addition, Wilson Energy earned its Tree Line USA designation again in 2026, recognizing its efforts to balance reliable energy service with urban tree preservation. These accolades highlight Wilson’s proactive approach to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community well-being.
