Registration is Closed!
Registration is now closed for the Youth Citizens Academy hosted by the City of Wilson Human Relations Office. The academy will be a three-day session from June 9 - June 11. Rising 9th – 12th graders, attending school in Wilson County, are encouraged to attend. The academy will be held daily 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Charles W. Pittman III Operations Center at 1800 Herring Avenue. Lunch will be provided at no cost.
The Youth Citizens Academy was created to give local students insight into the structure and operations of local government. It will also help with considering career pathways as students complete their high school requirements. Students will have the opportunity to visit and interact with many city departments through hands-on activities and tours of various city facilities.
