COVID-19 News Updates from Customer Service

*** To protect the health and safety of City of Wilson, Wilson Energy and Greenlight customers and employees, the City of Wilson Customer Service Center is temporarily closed to the public. This will not cause any disruption of utilities and city crews will remain on the job and committed to delivering essential services to our customers.

Customer Service staff will still be working during this time as well, and aim to provide the same services and the same quality of service to our customers that we always have. Our employees are available over the phone at (252) 399-2200 and by email at customerservice@wilsonnc.org.

Our focus on health and safety means a few changes have been made:

  • All requests to activate or terminate utility accounts should be made electronically. Checklists of required documentation and forms can be found below. Scanned documents or pictures of documents may be emailed to customerservice@wilsonnc.org. Please be sure to provide a phone number so a representative can contact you once they are received. 

  • Payments will be accepted through every method previously available except in the lobby. Wilson provides numerous free options to make a payment, never charging convenience or other junk fees:

     

    • On the phone with Wilson Express Pay at (252) 399-2200;

    • Online at www.wilsonnc.org and www.greenlightnc.com;

    • Mail your check to PO Box 2407 Wilson, NC 27894;

    • All payment types are accepted at the drive thru at the Customer Service Center at 208 Nash Street NE.

    • A temporary drive thru location has opened taking payments at the South District Police Station located in the Fikewood Plaza at 700 US 301 North.

City of Wilson Customer Service and Business Operations assist customers in establishing and maintaining customer accounts with the City, including Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer, Trash/Recycling and Stormwater services. We are also proud to provide customer support for Greenlight - Wilson's fiber-to-the-home internet, cable and phone service - the first to offer gigabit service in North Carolina!

We work to make the customer experience as easy as possible and provide many tools to help customers tailor their experience to fit their budget and their lifestyle.

Customer Service is available at (252) 399-2200 Monday - Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM and Saturday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
