Dividing land into two or more parcels usually requires city approval of a subdivision plat (a drawing of a proposed subdivision).
Review Process and Timing
Preliminary plats must be reviewed and approved by the Technical Review Committee (TRC). The review schedule is 20 working days and a formal TRC meeting thereafter. Final plats have a 5 working day review by the TRC and upon approval must be recorded with the Wilson County Register of Deeds.
