When an applicant would like to utilize their property in a way that is not permitted the current zone, they must request to have the property rezoned to a classification that permits the desired use.

To apply for a rezoning or text amendment please visit our Wilson Application Portal. If you have not previously submitted an application through the online portal, you will need to create an account first. Please upload all supporting documentation (application, map, etc.).

Review Process and Timing

Applications for rezoning consideration must be submitted by the first Tuesday of the month prior to the next meeting of the Planning & Design Review Board. The City Council meeting will be held the month following Planning & Design Review Board.
