Carlton Stevens is a dedicated leader, educator, and business professional committed to serving his community. A native of Wilson, North Carolina, he is a proud graduate of Edgar T. Beddingfield High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served honorably before returning home to pursue higher education.  

Carlton holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Educational Leadership. Additionally, he has completed doctoral studies in education at Fayetteville State University, demonstrating his commitment to lifelong learning.  

With a diverse professional background, Carlton serves in multiple capacities. As a middle school mathematics teacher, he is passionate about shaping young minds and fostering academic growth. Beyond the classroom, he is the operations manager and chief embalmer at Stevens Funeral Home, his family-owned business in Wilson. His entrepreneurial expertise extends further as a licensed insurance agent and a North Carolina Concealed Carry Instructor, reflecting his dedication to professional excellence and public service.  

In addition to his business and educational roles, Carlton serves as the Mayor of Wilson, North Carolina, leading the city with a vision for progress and community engagement. His leadership is characterized by a deep commitment to improving the lives of Wilson residents and fostering sustainable growth.  

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Carlton maintains a well-rounded lifestyle. He enjoys weightlifting, martial arts training, and firearm craftsmanship, hobbies that reflect his discipline, focus, and technical skill. However, his greatest passion remains his dedication to his community. Whether in the classroom, the funeral home, or City Hall, Carlton Stevens is steadfast in his mission to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the people of Wilson.
