Councilman Eduardo Herrera-Picasso was born in Veracruz, Mexico, and moved to Wilson at the age of nine, where he attended Sallie B. Howard School. He is a graduate of Beddingfield High School, where he was Salutatorian of the Class of 2009.
Herrera-Picasso has over 12 years of experience in the tree care and vegetation management industry and is a Certified Arborist. He has held leadership roles in operations, supervision, and project management, including overseeing municipal contracts and large crews. He currently serves as Operations Manager at Casa Azul de Wilson, where he manages daily operations, budgeting, and administrative systems to support community programs.
He is currently pursuing an Associate in Arts degree at Wilson Community College, with plans to transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Herrera-Picasso was elected to the Wilson City Council in 2025 and is the first Latino to serve on the council. His term expires in 2029.
