Parks and Recreation Recreation Athletics Supervisor

This position implements, coordinates, and supervises all aspects of the city’s recreation athletic programs and athletic tournaments. Directly supervising the Athletic Coordinators. Yearly programs provided through this position include but are not limited to Youth Athletics (soccer, Wilson City Little League Baseball, tackle football, flag football), Adult Athletics (softball, soccer, flag football, volleytball, kickball, etc.), & hosting tournaments held at one of our athletic facilities.

Graduated from East Carolina University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management of Recreation Facilities and Services. After college was employed as Athletic Coordinator for the Town of Southern Pines Recreation and Parks Department from 2007 until 2010. In 2010 was hired by the City of Wilson Parks and Recreation Department as a Recreation Center Coordinator at Recreation Park Community Center.  In February 2017 Jordan was promoted to Athletics Supervisor.  In 2012 became a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional through the National Recreation and Park Association.

Jordan serves as the contact for general parks and recreation athletic questions, tournaments, J. Burt Gillette Athletic Complex, & all other athletic fields/facilities.
