Grab your overcoats for downtown Raleigh's premier holiday event of the year!

On Saturday, December 7, join us as the local community and visitors come together to experience the vibrance, energy, and cheer synonymous with the holiday season at the Ipreo Raleigh Winterfest. Fayetteville Street will be beaming with sparkling lights as festival goers gather to enjoy outdoor festivities, including the signature ice skating rink and downtown Raleigh's beloved tradition of the official Mayor's holiday tree lighting.

The opening event will feature:

TREE LIGHTING: Witness the holiday magic as Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane lights up the 40 ft holiday tree at 7 pm in front of the BB&T Building.

MUSIC: Listen and dance to live performances, including award-winning band The Lee Boys as the headliner. Performances will begin at 7:30 pm.

SANTA'S WINTERLAND: Visit Santa's Winterland to take your photo with Santa Claus-a special moment to cherish.

SKATE: Create special memories on ice! Take a glide across the beautiful outdoor ice skating rink with friends, family, and loved ones. The ice rink will run from 11 am-11 pm.

RIDE: Capture downtown's charm by taking an enchanting horse-drawn carriage ride.

PLAY: Enjoy carnival-favorites like Bounce House, the 47 ft Ferris Wheel, and the Carousel. Slide down the snowy sledding hill for a fun spin.

BEER AND WINE GARDEN: Mix and mingle at the exciting new beer and wine garden, a winter social for adults. Enjoy live acoustic music and indulge in local craft beverages from six NC breweries-Aviator, Big Boss Brewing Co., Carolina Brewing Co., Lonerider Brewing Co., Natty Greene's Brewing Co., and White Street Brewing Co.

SHOP: Downtown makes it easy to get all of your holiday shopping done with an eclectic mix of stores, attractions and restaurants. Visit the Winter Market with over 20 local vendors to choose from, ranging from boutiques and craftsmen to food vendors.

LAUGH: Kick back and enjoy an outdoor movie screening of Elf, a classic comedy about innocence, goodness, and holiday cheer.
