Start the holiday weekend with First Friday on the Lawn on Friday starting at 6 p.m. Jus Once Band performing, food vendors, activities for kids.
The Wilson Tobs are in town on July 4 vs. the Peninsula Pilots at 7 p.m. Firework Extravaganza follows the game.
July Fourth Festival at the Fairgrounds at Wilson County Fairgrounds on July 4. Fireworks at the grandstand area of fairgrounds start around 9 p.m. BBQ cookout starts at 2 p.m. with local volunteer fire departments competing for best BBQ. Details on the Wilson County Fair Facebook page.
