Wilson Fire Rescue Services Begins Strategic Planning Process
Wilson Fire Rescue Services is set to host a facilitated discussion focusing on its strategic plan and role in the community on Monday, July 29, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. This meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Charles Pittman Operations Center on Herring Avenue.
The input gathered at this meeting will guide the fire department’s focus for the next five years. This plan outlines goals to be accomplished, issues to be addressed, and ways to improve for the future. The feedback gathered will also shape the mission, vision, and core values of the department. A document reviewing these standards will be released to the public in September.
“The strategic planning process is essential to determine our focus for the future,” said Wilson Fire Rescue Services Chief Albert Alston. “As the Wilson community grows and evolves, a solid strategic plan focused on the future will ensure our department continues to provide essential services to the community.”
A random sampling of citizens will receive an invitation to this event in the mail, but all are welcome and encouraged to attend. An RSVP is required to Tracy McKeel by email at email@example.com or by phone at 252-399-2842.
