Public Power


 

Public Power Week is celebrated each year in appreciation of locally-owned and operated electric systems. Wilson joins more than 2,000 public power communities across the country to celebrate the benefits of public power, including high reliability, fast response after outages, and local decision making in the best interest of the community.

Come to Customer Appreciation Day, Thursday, October 5 from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., at the Customer Service Center, 208 Nash St. NE. Attendees will be able to enjoy free coffee and doughnuts, receive a free LED light bulb, and learn more about Fix-It Wilson mobile app, Code Red notification system, energy audits, load management, area lighting and outage reporting. Wilson Energy was recently recognized by the American Public Power Association as a Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) at the Diamond level, the highest level of recognition.
