New Chicken Houses

Residents in Wilson County may be surprised to learn that 34 massive chicken houses have been built in our community in the past year.

These aerial photos show new construction near Elm City and Saratoga. Two other houses have been built near Kenly. The houses have been built since Sanderson Farms built its facilities in Lenoir County. The company has also signaled its intent to build in Nash County, just north of Wilson's city limits.

We encourage you to notice how close the houses are to natural water sources.
