Apply now for 2014 Urgent Repair Program

The City of Wilson is now accepting applications for the 2014 Urgent Repair program, which helps low-income homeowners with potentially dangerous problems.
The goal of the program is to alleviate housing conditions which pose an imminent threat to the life and safety of very low and low-income homeowners with specials needs, and to provide accessibility modifications and other repairs necessary to prevent displacement of very low and low-income homeowners with specials needs, such as frail elderly and persons with disabilities
Homeowners have until Oct. 1 to apply for up to $5,400 in assistance. In most cases, the assistance is in the form of an unsecured, deferred, interest-free loan.
