Fiber Optic Field Technician

Performs specialized and complex technical duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the city’s fiber optic communications network. This position will also perform duties related to the maintenance of the city’s buildings as required to support the Broadband Department.

This is temporary, full-time position reports to the OSP Operations Supervisor. Position is required to work a flexible weekly schedule of 40 hours or more, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. This position may last three months or longer depending upon the work load. Total hours worked per week will depend on work load.

Gas Compliance/ Training Coordinator

The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring that the City’s Gas Division complies with all federal, state and locally mandated pipeline safety regulations involving natural gas. Duties include: designing, presenting, evaluating and managing the required operator qualifications programs; ensuring the City’s compliance with numerous program changes and regulatory amendments and developing and maintaining accurate training and qualifications records.

This position reports to the Gas Distribution Manager. This position is required to perform duties indoors as well as outdoors under various weather conditions.
