JOB SUMMARY:  This position develops internet and intranet GIS applications to serve internal and external customers.  Position also assists Assistant Director of Information Technology Services in developing custom desktop applications using ArcObjects for power users.

 

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:  

Experience building/customizing Arc IMS/Arc server applications using ArcXML, HTML, JavaScript, ASP, and/or the Active X connector. 

Knowledge of customizing ArcMap with ArcObjects desired. 

ASP.Net programming experience is desired.

Strong knowledge of GIS Analysis in a local government environment is preferred. 

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in Geography, or other course of study related to the occupational field.

 

Experience sufficient to thoroughly develop custom applications based on ESRI technology.

 

 

 

 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:  This position administers  the City’s Enterprise Geodatabase.  Position works closely with other programmer analysts in the ITS division to integrate GIS with the City’s HTE database. 

 

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:  

SDE database administration.

SQL database administration.

SQL programming.

Strong knowledge of GIS Analysis in a local government environment is preferred.

 

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in Geography, or other course of study related to the occupational field.

 

Experience sufficient to thoroughly administer an ESRI SDE Geodatabase built on a SQL platform. 

 

Experience building Geodatabase data models is required.

 

Experience integrating legacy enterprise databases with GIS is preferred.

 

Experience utilizing ESRI client applications is preferred.
