Shooting Sports 101

The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, in cooperation with the Deep River Sporting Clays and Shooting School, will hold a free Shooting Sports 101 clinic at the Centennial Campus Center for Wildlife Education on Feb. 9 from 6-8 p.m.

This free clinic is ideal for those interested in sporting clay competition or hunters who want to improve their shooting skills. While there will not be any practice or live firing, topics covered will include safety, equipment, ammo and firearms and the various types of shooting sports, including trap, skeet and sporting clays. Instruction will be given by our partners from the Deep River Sporting Clays and Shooting School in Sanford, which is rated by the National Shooting Sports Foundation as a four star range. Space is limited and pre-registration for the clinic is required. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
