First Fridays on the Lawn, a series of free concerts, are held on the first Friday of July-October on the lawn of the Wilson County Library in downtown Wilson. Sponsored by the Human Relations Commission, the concerts are meant to give the diverse Wilson community a chance to come together to relax, enjoy and get to know each other a little better.

The Oct. 1 schedule is Rock Music Night, including:

  • Opening Act: Triple Wide band
  • Intermission: Local Dance Troupes
  • Headliner: After Shock band
  • Kidszone: Giant Rock Slide
