First Fridays on the Lawn, a series of free concerts, are held on the first Friday of July-October on the lawn of the Wilson County Library in downtown Wilson. Sponsored by the Human Relations Commission, the concerts are meant to give the diverse Wilson community a chance to come together to relax, enjoy and get to know each other a little better.

The Sept. 3 schedule is Country Music Night, including

  • Opening Act: Joe Panzarella band
  • Intermission: Local dance troupes 
  • Headliner: Lauren Paige & Midnight Highway band
  • Kidszone: First 'N Goal Game
