All members of the community are invited to attend the 37th Human Relations Humanitarian Awards Banquet honoring Wilson citizens that give back to the community. The highest award bestowed by the Human Relations Commission, the Paul Lee Stevens Humanitarian Award, will be given, along with five new "Treasures of Our Community" awards.
Keynote speaker: Rovonda Freeman, Wayne County Minority Health Coordinator
Advanced tickets are $15 per person, which includes a meal & keepsake; Tickets may be purchased at the Human Relations Office, Arts Council or Chamber of Commerce
Nominations are being accepted now for the following awards:
- Paul Lee Stevens Humanitarina Award
- Youth on the Move Award
- Inspirational Volunteer Award
- Community Initiative Award
- Good Neighbor Award
- Community Spirit Award
The deadline is Friday, February 29th. Applications are available on line or you may pick up an application at the Human Relations Office, Arts Council, Chamber of Commerce or Town Hall in the Mall.
