Public Interest

The City of Wilson's Police Department welcomes the public to participate in the safeguarding of the community on various levels. We have programs and policies created to educate and involve Wilson citizens of all age groups and interests.

The Wilson Police Department has implemented a Community Services Unit to better serve the community's needs.  If you or your organization would like to have an officer come out and speak to a group about various safety topics, please call 243-1441 or send an email request to wpdcommunityservices@wilsonnc.org

 

Ride-Along Program

The Ride-Along Program with the Wilson Police Department is another way for police officers to interact individually with members of the community.  By participating in a ride-along with the Wilson Police Department, members of the community have the opportunity to observe first hand day to day patrol operations in Wilson.  This public education program provides for a better understanding of how the police in Wilson patrol the city and interact with its residents.  If you are interested in riding along with an officer please use the link below.  After the application is complete please have it notarized and turn it into the Wilson Police Department at the front desk.
