Administration, Policy, and Employee Relations
The staff provides a centralized program of support services and consulting to all departments and the public. The department administers a varied program of employee relations activities including publication of an employee newsletter, presentation of information to employees, recognition programs, and individual counseling with employees/supervisors relative to job performance.

Recruitment, Selection & Employment Services
The Employment Section is responsible for meeting with hiring managers and coordinating the recruitment, initial screening, and selection process for all full-time and permanent part-time positions as well as coordinating the City’s Diversity in Employment program. The goal of these programs is to assure equal opportunity for all applicants without regard to age, race, sex, color, national origin, religion, or disability.
