Did you miss the opportunity to nominate this year?

Don't worry we are always looking for great community leaders for next year. We all know there are many people that help organizations, community groups, churches, non-profits and neighbors every day. They give and never ask for recognition. They lead and help accomplish amazing goals. They care and make a difference in our lives. The Human Relations Commission is asking that we each take a moment and nominate these wonderful people for the hard work they do.

 

Seeking nominations for..... (form can be downloaded at link below)

 

  • Humanitarian of the Year - bestowed upon the rare citizens who have unselfishly gone above and beyond the call of duty to help the disadvantaged of the community
  • Youth on the Move - given to a young citizen (K-12th grade) for demonstrating community involvement
  • Community Initiative - given to an individual or group that started a new program that helped or improved the Wilson community
  • Good Neighbor Award - given to an individual or group for thier contributions to neighborhood improvement
  • Community Spirit Award - given to an individual or group that gives back to the community

 Reminders!

- Nomination open each November and are due by February 1
- Nomination forms can be downloaded and printed below.
- Nominations must be received by the deadline.
- All materials and recommendation letters must be submitted with the nomination.
- Nominations must follow the awards policies and procedures (see criteria on form)

 

Paul Lee Stevens Award - Humanitarian of the Year


The Paul Lee Stevens Award is to recognize those rare citizens who have unselfishly gone above and beyond the call of duty to help the disadvantaged of the community. Applications are due early February and are available at City Hall/Human Relations, City Hall at the Mall, Wilson County Public Library and Chamber of Commerce. You may also download a copy of the application by clicking the Award Nomination Form link below.
