Emergency Operations
Wilson Fire/Rescue Services’ specific ‘Emergency Operation’ procedure revolves around three shifts, and five specific sub-stations. Each firefighter serving with us is in a career, full time, position. Each shift, in each of the five different stations, throughout out the City of Wilson, is managed by our acting Commanders. Our organization is dedicated to the public’s safety, and operates efficiently 24 hours a day.
David B. Aycock - Battalion Commander
Aycock serves as the Battalion Commander for Wilson Fire/Rescue Services stationed at a Headquarters. He oversees the daily operations of shift personnel, five stations and the equipment located at those stations. Aycock manages and directs the operations of emergency incidents and the necessary means to assist the public in the protection of life and property. daycock@wilsonnc.org
Mike Brown - Battalion Commander
Commander Michael Brown is responsible for managing daily activities of the organization. He utilizes a combination of education and experience in providing command functions during the mitigation of emergency events. Commander Brown also provides training, guidance, and support to front line supervisors ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary tools to successfully fulfill their responsibilities.
