Neighborhoods, Corridors, and Gateways

Over the three days of the design charrette/workshop which focused on the City's neighborhoods, corridors, and gateways about 100 people participated in sharing their vision for how they think these areas of our City could look and function in the future. Tuesday night's workshop attendees looked specifically at the major gateways on the perimeter of Wilson as well as those coming into Downtown.

The group also worked on the Highway 301 Corridor from Lipscomb to Black Creek as well as the Old Wilson Mile (entrance to Barton College to Downtown) and the Five Points Neighborhood. These areas will serve as models for how the principles can be implemented in other aging corridors and neighborhoods throughout the City.

Thanks to all who came out and participated in this important event!
