  • Single Family Rehabilitation Program
    Provides affordable loans to comprehensively upgrade substandard housing conditions for low-income homeowner occupants within the city of Wilson and in the unincorporated areas of Wilson County. Owners must meet income guidelines to qualify for assistance. Funding per unit is limited.
  • Urgent Repair Program
    Alleviates housing conditions which pose an imminent threat to the life and safety of occupants. The program allows accessibility modifications and other repairs necessary to prevent displacemnt of the very low and low-income homeowners with special needs, such as frail elderly persons and persons with disabilities. Assistance provided as a grant. Owners must meet income guidelines to qualify for assistance. Funding is intended to address urgent needs only and is limited to $3,500 per unit.
  • CDBG-Community Development Block Grant Program
    Geared toward eliminating blight, and encouraging home ownership. Specific neighborhoods are targeted for assistance. Activities range from acquisition/clearance, rehabilitation and relocation. The purpose of the project is to create future opportunities for homeownership.
