You may also download a copy of the application by clicking the Award Nomination Form link below.

Accepting Nominations – New! - Treasures of Our Community Awards

Along with the annual Paul Lee Stevens Humanitarian Award, the Human Relations Commission will recognize other “Treasures of Our Community”. We encourage individuals, churches, civic groups, non-profits, businesses and neighborhoods to apply or nominate. Who are the “gems” we need to recognize? Who are “precious” to our community spirit? Who are the hidden treasures of Wilson? Who are the people or groups that we can honor that make a difference by serving as role models or mentors? Who provides quiet inspiration with their hope, heart and wisdom?  These living treasures deserve a special distinction by our beloved community.

You may download a copy of the Treasures application below to nominate a community member for these additional awards:

 - Youth on the Move Award – given to a young citizen (k-12th grade) for community involvement

- Inspirational Volunteer Award – recognizing a volunteer that inspires others to participate

- Community Initiative Award – given to an individual or group that initiated a new program that helped or improved the Wilson community

- Good Neighbor Award – given to an individual for their contributions to their neighborhood

- Community Spirit Award – given to a civic group or club that gives back to the community
